First of all, I would like to announce that I have a new show coming up on October the 5th. Market Day at Encino Park will be located at the Encino Park Community Center from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. It’s going to be a little bit different. I’m taking only part of my full show, which involve the smaller things that sell, like puzzles, coasters, and prints. I will combine that with some of my “vintage things” that I have saved over the years. (Yes, I tend to be a little bit of a pack rat.) I have also come across things in my line of work that people don’t want and offer to me. Once in a while, I have the chance to flip some of these items for a profit, so if you are in the neighborhood, please stop by.
Now for the bad/good news in my life. I have had to purchase an e-bike because our car has died. I was hoping it would last until the end of the year…but no. It had to die while we are looking for a car and in the heat of the summer! I have had to put a pause on joining any new art shows until we get a car. (That’s another one of my plans to step up to a once a month show.) The good news is that my husband and I have planned on getting bikes so that we can ride around park trails or for camping. It’s taking me a little while to brush up on riding a bike. I’m a little wobbly sometimes, and just last month I ended up falling into a flower garden. Well, at least it was soft, and I didn’t do any severe damage to the garden! I’m really looking forward to bringing my camera equipment with me on a ride or maybe our traveling cat! (I’m trying to train her to get used to the bike, just like getting in a car.)
