Starving artist show coming up!

March 24th, 2024

Get ready for my first show of the year coming up on the first weekend of April the 6th and 7th!  It’s the 62nd Starving Artist Art Show in downtown San Antonio near the Little Church of La Villita, 418 Villita St. Bldg. 13.  This show was started back in 1963 to give little-known artists an opportunity to show their work and is still a fundraiser for them to help the less fortunate.  I’m glad to do it to help others and to be able to have a space for an affordable price.  I’m also glad to have it come at the beginning of April when the weather is cooler, and it’s right before the solar eclipse.  San Antonio happens to be on the edge of the path of the total solar eclipse that happens every twenty years, and it’s  expected that San Antonio is to get a lot of visitors for this event.  Now, I have never been a big fan of moon phases or the planets.  I don’t have a several thousand dollar telescope to look at the universe.  My eyes and a dark sky are good enough for me.  But…I do have some moon prints that I will have on display hoping to catch the eye of an astronomer.  I hope I will see some of you at the show!
